Footprints of Hope

HOPE. That’s what my life has been all about ever since the day I was born. I’ve been in this world for 29 years now and I still believe in hope.

But before I show you a glimpse of my rollercoaster ride life that is fueled with hope, I’ll briefly introduce myself first. Bryan Cambronero Guasis is my name but people call me Brye. As I’ve mentioned, I am already 29 who is residing in Rizal Ibaba, Calauag in the wide province of Quezon. Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education major in Filipino is what I’m currently taking up in Calauag Central College.

Now, you know me already; let’s start my footprints of hope growing up.

At an early age, my parents separated and I grew up in a broken family. And that’s when I started to hope. A hope that would make my family and I’s life a little better. Even at a young age, I started to learn how to take good care of my siblings in all possible ways I could. My mother was and still is a simple housewife while my father didn’t support us. He never did until the day he left this world. Being a part of the lower class of the society, made me realize how hard life is. This realization made me hope for more as a child.

As I continue my hopes and dreams as a youngster, I discovered my passion in playing Volleyball. I started playing during my elementary days and I became a part of my school’s Volleyball team. And at the age of 16, I started training others to play volleyball. As I’ve discovered my passion for this sport, I hoped and dreamed to be a Physical Education teacher. I hoped of utilizing my skills and knowledge in sports by being an educator. I hoped of being able to share the joy I feel when I play volleyball to the younger generations.

But this dream of mine is a difficult one to reach. Due to unfortunate reasons my mother couldn’t afford to send me to college after graduating High School in 2010. Having a new family, my mother shifted her focus onto her newly built family and I was casted off. I lived with my relatives while my mother lived with her new family. With my hopes and dreams, I bravely challenged myself to study again without the help of others. With God’s guidance and my friends’ support, I was able to study and finish Senior High School.

With all the challenges I’ve experienced growing up I became physically and mentally strong. Thanks to the strong support system I received and still receiving before up to this moment.

The greatest hindrance in achieving my dreams and goals would be financial but I believe that all mountains can be crossed, and I am determined to find every way I could to overcome and stand back up again in this journey of mine. The road that I am taking is long but I believe that with my dreams filled with hope will equip me in achieving my goals.

I always believed that GOD will provide, I will do my very best and God will do the rest.

I believed that our Lord God will not forsake or neglect us. He will give us challenges but not leave or desert us. He is giving us all these challenges in life in order for us to be strong and courageous. No matter how hard life hit us, no matter how difficult life is, no matter how rough & rocky the road is, we should always believe that He will provide and he will let us win the battle, He will make us successful in a way we deserve. He will shower us his blessings and we will be a blessing to others.

So, continue to hope. Continue to reach your dreams, goals and plans in life. Accept every challenge that will come in front of you. Don’t waver if you make mistakes. Learn from every mistake you make. Continue to believe in yourself. Continue to grow. Continue to hope for your future.
